Oat and sultana cookies are a classic treat that perfectly balances wholesome comfort with delicious sweetness. These cookies are known for their soft, chewy texture, making every bite a delightful experience. Ingredients

  • 125 grams unsalted butter
  • 100 grams light brown sugar
  • 75 grams caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150 grams plain flour
  • 150 grams rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 150 grams sultanas

Instructions

  1. Beat sugar and room temperature butter until creamy.
  2. Add egg and vanilla extract mix well.
  3. Add the rest if the ingredients and mix into a dough.
  4. Split into 12 even sized balls and chill for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 200C or 180C fan.
  6. Once the cookie balls have chilled, place on lined baking trays and cooks for 12 minutes.
  7. After 12 minutes remove from oven and leave to cool down.
